My wife and I stopped here to try the place out, when some other places were closed on a Sunday afternoon. With a name that included the words "Tavern" and "League" our expectations were for low quality pub food, but we were really pleasantly surprised. The food and drinks were great. Quality mixology and quality work in the kitchen, and the service was also excellent.
Our only complaint is that we were sitting on the patio enjoying the nice weather and directly next to the patio some woman was chain smoking, so much of our otherwise excellent meal tasted like an ash tray. We just assumed this awful person smoking didn't care about other people's experience or about violating the city ordinance on not smoking within 15 feet of any pedestrian entrance, however, when we left, we saw that the restaurant had placed a large standing ash tray, 5 feet from the patio entrance, right next to the no smoking sign on the wall. So, it is the restaurant's own fault.
This otherwise would have been a 5 star review. -

Second visit and i have to say service here is fantastic - they remembered us from Saturday night. They have an amazing happy hour - half priced apps - and mondays are bogo burgers - they have great food - everyone enjoyed every and we shared family style Saturday- tonight was just some of those "must have again" flavors. The meatloaf bites - while NOT on sale - so yummy and so worth full price. Tried the deviled eggs tonight they were also surprisingly good- the salmon is pretty good - but also large enough to be removed if someone didn't enjoy it- we came tonight to try their bread pudding during our christmas cheat time - and so so worth it.
The staff is super attentive, friendly and knowledgeable and while the food is amazing - they truly make the experience five star- gotta try it.
Its bar food a little more sophisticated and well done enough to be cravable. If you like fish and chips - the ones here are top notch. -

You rarely find restaurants that actually care about who they are and what they stand for. When you walk in to the League, you instantly notice the atmosphere and design. When you sit down, the waiter takes a moment and explains the surroundings and the importance the played in history. I instantly felt like they truly cared and just had a different feeling then your average restaurant.
To top it all off, the food and drinks are fantastic! For starters, the happy hour is solid. Large pour beers and apps on sale. The fried pickles are a must! They have the perfect amount of tang and flavor. We also ordered the stuff jalapeños which were great as well.
We didn't ordered any main dishes, but after our first experience, we will definitely be back! -

After my first unpleasant visit, the manager reached out to me to give them another try. I did and was pleased.
A nice gentleman showed me to my booth. My waiter was there within a minute of me sitting. He spoke loudly and clear. Ordered a Prosecco while I reviewed the menu. It was cold and refreshing.
This time I chose the Flat Tire fish and chips. It took about ten minutes for me to get my lunch. My waiter kept me posted on the arrival of my food. He also checked on me three times while dining.
I believe there were four big pieces of battered fish. Crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. It was served with tartar sauce but you could get malt vinegar or cocktail sauce if asked. The portion was big enough to take half home for lunch the next day.
I still feel they are a bit pricy but I may come back again if I have the money.
